Beschreibung: | 5569696 (9053) May 09, 1952; Siena, Italy; American novelist and essayist ALDOUS LEONARD HUXLEY, author of 'Brave New World,' (1931) writing a story for an Italian film. Huxley was born in Godalming to a upper-class family, his father was a biographer. At age 16 he developed a sickness that left him blind for 18 months, during this time he learned Braille. In 1954 Huxley published an influencial study of consciouness expansion through mescaline, 'The Doors of Perception' and later experimented with LSD.
