Beschreibung: | 5576705 (9053) Feb 03, 1987; Hue, Vietnam; In more glorious days, the once stately city of Hue was the Imperial Capital of Vietnam. The Citadel and Palace were bombed by American B52 bombers when occupied by Vietcong forces. The wrecked Palace has become a fitting memorial to what is the world's most violent war. In the 1950's, the US began to send troops to Vietnam, during the following 25-year period, the ensuing war would create some of the strongest tensions in US history. Almost 3 million US men and women were sent to fight for what was a questionable cause. In total, it is estimated that over 2,5 million people on both sides were killed. , [SPERRVERMERKE BEACHTEN | PLEASE CHECK RESTRICTIONS!
